Second Extinction is available for both Xbox and PC Game Pass members and is featured as the game free for 24 hours on December 21st for the Epic Games Store. The game was first released for Steam but made its way to Xbox Game Pass preview in April 2021. The title is still in early access for PC and Xbox, but the quality of the game keeps improving with every update.

Additionally, the update also added matchmaking lobbies and voice chat, so playing with friends should be easier. With crossplay enabled, players can join up from every different platform that Second Extinction is on.
